“In the outdoor community, ‘send’ means to fully commit and go all-out, and that's exactly what I aim to do with this old gear.”
Every piece of retired gear has a story, and I believe that story deserves to continue. By giving discarded outdoor equipment a new purpose, I’m not just reducing waste—I’m sending it off on another adventure. That’s the idea behind Second Send.

CUSTOM ORDERS
Custom orders are accepted based on the feasibility of your idea, the materials currently in stock, and the timing of the request. A few things to keep in mind are:
-
I only work with discarded outdoor gear. No new materials (except for components like zippers, etc.) I generally work with what I have currently in my shop. If you have old gear you’d like me to use on a custom order, I happily accept mailed in materials. Please remember these materials are pre-loved so they will have slight imperfections and signs of wear.
-
Products are made for everyday use but not intended for high-intensity wear (i.e don’t take your custom tent fabric puffer jacket on your next mountaineering trip…). The materials I work with have already been used in a previous life so they will not be viable for high-performance use.
-
Custom requests will be considered as they come in. I’m a one-women operation and cannot fill all custom orders at once. When it comes to making these products, I prioritize care and craftmanship before speed.
-
I don’t offer gear repair as a service. I only work with gear that is at the end of its life and would otherwise go to the garbage. If you need your gear repaired, look for a local gear repair shop or sewist in your community! There are lot’s of people and businesses out there dedicated to keeping gear/clothes in circulation. Here in the Methow Valley, Garage House Goods is my recommendation for gear repair.
